unmarked black suv. no way of knowing who put it there, though the possibilities are far from endless. the guardians, most likely. they have the means, the resources. and your police have yet to find any trace of the vehicle, which i refuse to accept as coincidence. i had hoped i could get further before the guardians found me, but my trail getting here was unignorable. it was going to happen. perhaps i should be thankful i was afforded as much time as i was. this means going deeper underground, of course. less visible. can’t risk another attempt, not while the vessel remains so fragile, especially. the guardians can’t get me unless they can find me, and they haven’t since that attack. so it’s time to lay low and recover. i have enough cadavers to stitch the leg back together, make it better than it was before, and when i’m ready, i’ll come back. hard.
